Our Workshops

Dress for Mess!  and indoor shoes. All supplies are provided. You may wish to bring a notebook for jotting down ideas and inspiration. Most importantly, bring an open mind.  

Yes!  During your workshop you will  create something unique  to you.  You will leave it with us so it can go through the drying and kiln firing process.  Once it is out of the kiln, we will contact you to pick it up (approx. 3-4 weeks).   

We will notify you by email when your clay creation is ready for pick up, usually 3-4 weeks

We offer a variety of engaging workshops designed to bring people together.  Many non-profits and corporations have found our offerings to be a refreshing way to reconnect, especially when teams are feeling stressed, tired or disconnected.

earthen vessels differs from Hintonburg Pottery in the follow ways:

1. OUR FOCUS:  At earthen vessels we invite you to embrace the process - letting the clay help shape you as much as you shape the clay.  Hintonburg Pottery on the other hand focuses on the product and all the technical elements of making an ideal piece.    
2. Many of our clients at Hintonburg Pottery have shared they turned to clay as a way to heal - whether from illness, injury, or lives challenges.  Through working with clay, they discovered a sense of calm, balance and grounding.  Inspired by these experiences, we created offerings at earthen vessels where this gentle, mindful connection with clay could flourish and deepen this experience. 
3. STUDIO AMBIENCE:  earthen vessels is on a quiet street. During our workshops, the only people in the studio are the participants and the facilitators to allow for privacy and confidentiality. Our space is designed to reflect a warm and peaceful energy.
4. OUR FACILITATORS: are warm, welcoming, skilled professionals.  They posess a unique blend of  communication skills, and emotional intelligence. They have a natural ability to create a safe and supportive environment where participants feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.  Our facilitators are not therapists.  The facilitators role is to guide the group through an experience, allowing the participants to discover insights and growth organically.  They are skilled at clay work with a focus on how to help you connect with the clay in a meaningful way.
